Hi folks,

Just found out that Animal Lovers' League has 250 dogs and 400 cats. While some have owners, many are strays and are homeless....

Daily, they will need two sacks of dog kibble (15kg each) plus rice (they have donors but sometimes the donors dont have enough rice for themselves either...so ALL has to go and buy for themselves) plus I dont know what else they give the dogs).

"Homeless in Seletar" dogs- many are housed there.

Wonder if anyone has any lobang re where to buy
a. cheap rice (is NTUC the cheapest?)
b. 3 table fans (maybe you have one to give away- a working one: something that has a proper cover so that the dogs wont stick their paws onto the rotating blades)
I can collect.
c. Am trying to see if we can get some discounts from a particular kibble company for them.

Thanks.

Tks. Cooler- as in mini fridge? I dont know if they need that- will need to find out what it is from you and then tell them.

I managed to get two cheap new fans to them just now. Someone offered an old fan...will check to see if it is working.

Rice- cheapest is from NTUC $5.90 plus (Thai long grained rice) 5kg.
Anyone else got better lobang? They need 10kg per day...

1 lots of sulphur soap (from sinseh shops)

GOT ALREADY
1 two fans (they dont need anymore)

Yes. Just spoke with CathyStrong the person ic of ALL. They could do with the cooler. Thanks. Can you send it there or do I need to pick it up to send it? You'd need to tell them how to use it. Address is 61 Pasir Ris Farmway Drive 3. They are open from 1pm to 6pm each day. Ask for Cathy.

Kibble budget- From what I know re the market rates- normal dog food 15kg is about $70 plus. Cheapest can be around $50 plus (reasonable level type). Looking at a reputable brand to see if they have anything around that price...Will let you folks know so if you'd like to sponsor...you'd know how much.

A couple of years ago, there was an auction thread to raise funds to buy rice for ALL. This effort is ongoing and continuing in another forum.

Anyway, rice suppliers contacts :

1. Lee Soon Poh - 65615951
Their cheapest rice - $36 per 25kg bag. Price excludes GST.
Service standard - excellent.

2. Ah Chuan (sales rep) - 81688667
Their cheapest rice - $34 per 25kg bag. Can ask him to waive GST.
Service standard - good.

3. Ah Yew (sales rep) - 92273127
Prices unknown but service seems to be good.

4. Chip Seng - 97812773
Their cheapest rice - $36 per 25kg bag. Unsure about GST.
Service untested.

They all deliver so it saves you some trouble. The quality of the rice is good though their prices per kg is not as cheap as NTUC's.

Alternatively, you might want to ask around for broken rice. Price is much lower and dogs don't care for the look.

Oh yes... you can also ask pet shops to sell you their dented or near expiry canned food or kibbles at cheaper rates.

Hi, we will be placing orders for rice to be sent to ALL sometime next month. The cost for 1 bag of 50kg rice is $34 (before GST). If you are interested to chip in for ALL’s rice needs, please PM me. Thanks.
