Dear all,

I'm posting this on behalf of DAVEE'S rescuers. Have sought permission from admin to start this fund raising.

This is an URGENT APPEAL to everybody out there. Please help Davee to live her life to the fullest!

Funds collected will be used for her medical expenditure. Latest update - Davee's lumps have been confirmed as cancerous. The cancer is rapidly growing. Her lumps have grown to almost twice the size with a short one-week. We have scheduled for Davee to undergo an operation with Dr L next Tuesday, 3 Feb 2009. We are praying for God's mercy upon Davee.

The vet that is caring for Davee is Dr Ly at Animal Recovery veterinary Centre, 288 Balestair Road, #01-01, S329731.

Visited Davee today. The lumps must be very pain but poor gal, she's still so gentle spirit. Her eyes are fill with hope...PLEASE HELP DAVEE!

DAVEE needs blood transfusion URGENTLY!Please Help!!!

DAVEE'S blood count is low at 15%. Blood donor required. Relapsed of tick fever...tumor growth operation aborted today.

Alone blood type is 1.1 Negative. This is universal blood donor type. Dog no older than 7 years old and must weigh 20kg and above. In good health.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, MARKY & MUMMY (artos)! Your kindness and quick response to our appeal for emergency blood transfusion for Davee is greatly appreciated.

Saint MARKY the great! MARKY was an ASD dog who had a hit and run accident( left him with the femur bone totally crushed). His mummy witnessed the accident. Subsequently ASD 'sponsored' him and his mummy fostered him. Later, they adopted him. So as he is blessed (Marky=Makarios, Greek for BLESSED), he is a blessing to others....

DAVEE started her blood transfusion about 6pm last evening. However, we might need 1or 2 big dogs to standby as Davee needs to go for her operation to removed the lumps. Please wish her well and keep her in your prayers.

Thank God that both MARKY and DAVEE are fine after the blood transfusion.

DAVEE was discharged from ARVC yesterday evening. Her blood count is still low at 28%, hope her PCV will up soonest so that she can go for her operation asap. She's perky, eating well and running around the clinic.

CL massage her neck and found 2 floating lumps around right side of neck and chin. Dr Loon said is lymphoma but benign. Cut more hair off her back covering 2 more odd size lumps, easier to monitor any increase in size.

Despite all those big and small lumps all over her body, she's cheerful, affectionate and so sweet Smile

She sure has the fighting spirit and a love for live!

N had arranged for her to stay with a friend near her place and she will walk over to take care of her on a daily basis. The back room may be small but at least the lttle area is quiet, and she dont have to lay on the though clean, but very cold cemented floor in the shelter...Hope under all the TLC, she will recover fast for her surgery before the tumors gets bigger.

URGENT APPEAL FOR BLOOD DONOR!

DAVEE'S blood count is dropping. She might need another emergency blood transfusion. She's now at the vet. Please pray for her.

Alone blood type is 1.1 Negative This is universal blood donor type. Dog no older than 7 years old and must weigh 20kg and above. In good health.

Owner of donor to note that their dogs will be subjected to blood test and blood typing before the transfusion. If dog had not been heart-worm tested, then the dog will also be subject to heartworm test.

And also that the dog will be sedated for the blood transfusion.

Please also assist in passing on the information to friends who have dogs that might meet the above requirement.

Please pray for tomorrow's blood test. Davee need to be at least at 20% for chemo. Time for test 09.00am-09.30am. Pray

N had moved Davee to her place cos is really alot and too tiring for her to handle. Also is easier for her to take care of her and hope with Zoe around, she will not be so stress at medicine time (another rescued doggie from Davee's foster home).

After the review at ARVC yesterday morning, J & N brought her to Dr T, the vet who first treated her, for a second opinion. Prognosis for Davee is poor but still Dr T wonder why it takes so long to treat her tick fever...

Cancer had gotten to lung but still small. Not definate about her life span cos she's still looking ok and eating. We don't plan to give up yet.

After discussing with the vet, J & N decided to proceed with the treatment, one step at a time. First, treat the tick fever, and when she is well, will start the chemo treatment and if all goes well, the surgery. She needs to fatten up as she's too skinny, doesnt have sufficient skin to graft after surgery. ...

Davee is taking a different drug for the tick fever. Please pray that Davee will respond to the drug positively. If all goes well, the treatment will take 10 days. Meanwhile, she has been placed on a strong steroid to deter the cancer from going. The vet said he is preparing for the nec chemo protocol.

Most importantly now, Davee must have enough blood first. PCV at least 20%, if not then blood donor required.

We are still appealing for blood donor cos the kind owners who are willing to let their doggie help are not tested for blood type yet. J will talk to Dr T to arrange. Please continue to help spread the word.

DAVEE'S PCV has gone lower at 10%. But thank God, platelets still holding, so will monitor until Thurs if blood transfusion is needed. Vet says it takes time for body to react.

She has not give up and we are not giving up...Trusting God for miracle as DAVEE has such a strong fighting spirit.
